All registrations must include payment for vehicle (if applicable) and attendees.

This year, TMSPA has implemented an Online Registration Form system. We will not take payments online, but you will be able to enter all your registration information through a short series of online forms to generate and print your final Registration Form. The following information is for 2009 and is posted as a reference for the 2010 Table Mountain Star Party. Updated info will be posted as it becomes available.

Registration Receipts
A receipt will be emailed to the email address you provided on your registration form.  It will contain a PDF document of your statement, listing the number of attendees you registered and all items you purchased.  Please look it over to be sure it is accurate.  If you believe there is an error, please contact the Registrar at   If you have not receive a receipt within two weeks of mailing in your registration, please contact the same address.


2009 Attendee Fees:
  • $70 - First Person

  • $50 - Extra Adults

  • $25 - Students (age 7 - 17)

  • Free - Children (age 6 and under)

  1. Registrations for 2009 are based on a "Per Vehicle" structure.  Each vehicle will need its own registration.  Vehicles without registration will not be allowed on-site.  There is a new fee this year that will apply to the vehicle that you arrive in.  This fee has been implemented due to the request of the US Forest Service to reduce the number of large vehicles on site.  It is the increased weight and number of axles that is of greatest concern.  Please do your part and carpool when ever possible.

  2. Attendees listed on registration forms are not limited to immediate family members.  We encourage carpooling to the event to help reduce the number of vehicles on-site.

  3. Large vehicle space:

    • We will post to this website the availability of space for large vehicles. When space for a large vehicle size has been filled, we will post to this site and we will no longer accept registrations for that size of vehicle.

    • If you do not indicate the size of your vehicle on your registration form, it will not be accepted. If you arrive without providing this information there may not be space available for you on site.

    • If you have a change in your vehicle size or type after you mail your registration you must contact the registrar prior to arriving to verify space availability.
  1. Registration availability will be based upon the postmark on your envelope, so please - register early.

    • Registration forms are no longer sent to mailing lists via snail mail. Registration forms are avialable only through this website.

    • You are encouraged to pre-register as On-Site Registration may not be available.

    • We will notify you via this web site and will contact you ONLY if oversized spaces are running low!

    • Please read all of this registration web page information and the registration form, as well as any updates in the coming months! 


It is important that you monitor this site and make yourself aware of all changes in registration policy.   If you have attended the TMSP for the past few years, you are aware of the growth and the popularity of our event and the limited space for vehicle parking.


Here is the fine print on the Registration Rules:

Due to Forest Service regulations the number of attendees is limited to 700 individual attendees.  We are also limited on the space available for parking vehicles.  Please help us reduce the number of vehicles on site by arranging to car pool with friends and/or family.

If you come early and are on the site before Wednesday, you will be required to check-in and may have to move into an approved campsite.  If you have not pre-registered you will be required to leave the site.  Please contact the parking director before setting up a camp. There are some areas that are off limits for camping and parking based on the USFS rules.

Groups wishing to camp together should arrive together.  We can not guarantee that parking or camping space will be available for groups that do not arrive together.  Parking is arranged on a "first come, first served"  format. Holding of camping or parking spaces will not be allowed. 

Before your Registration can be accepted as valid, you must sign the appropriate waivers on the registration form. You cannot be admitted to the Table Mountain Star Party without a valid registration.  All adults arriving MUST SIGN the form whether they are the primary registrant or not.  Parents or guardians must sign a waiver for children.

Registration Confirmation: You will receive an email invoice/receipt confirming your registration after payment has been received by our Registrar. Records, including your original registration form will be available at the Registration Booth when you check in at the Star Party. Registrations are usually processed in batches weekly. Please allow time for postal mail service, but if you have not received your email confirmation within two weeks of mailing it, you can contact the Registrar. Also be sure to check your mail filters and allow incoming email from Some attendees have indicated their receipts showing up in their junk mail folders.

Refunds: Refunds will be granted (less a $10 handling fee) upon written requests made before June 30th, 2009.

Non-Sufficient Funds / Returned Checks: There will be a $35 handling fee for returned (bad) checks.

Meals Annual Shirts Youth Telescope Making Program Showers
Menus and pricing are located in the Vendors & Services section on the Food Services page. The annual shirt must be pre-ordered and paid for in advance - they cannot be purchased on the mountain.

Exchanges of sizes will not be available, so please order carefully.

There will be a telescope making class offered for the Students again this year.  Sign up your child to build there own 5" f/5 telescope.  Click here for more details
